
Dr. Kim joined Culpeper Family Practice in 2011 after practicing as an Army doctor for 17 years. He was stationed in various places including Fort Belvoir, US Army base in Korea, Germany, and was deployed to Bosnia and Hungary during his military service. He held various positions including Commander of US Army Health clinic, Officer in charge of Well Women clinic, Quality Assurance Officer of Fort Belvoir Family Health Center, Faculty of National Capital Consortium Family Medicine Residency, and Assistant Professor of Uniformed Services University of Health Science School of Medicine in Maryland. He was awarded multiple times for excellence in patient care and patient satisfaction by the Dewitt Health Care Network Commander and numerous Army medals including Meritorious Service Medals, Army Commendation Medals, Army Achievement Medals, a NATO Service Medal, and so on. He has special interest in Sports Medicine, Dermatology, office surgical procedures, and teaching medical students. He is married with three children. He is an active member of Lake Ridge Baptist Church and enjoys hiking, photography, and traveling.
