Brenda Jeffries has practiced nursing in our community for 34 years. She held nursing positions with the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) for 17 years. At VDH she performed communicable disease investigation, provided prenatal and family planning services, and community outreach. Her greatest public health efforts were in developing and delivering health education programs for the schools and community. She was a recipient of the VDH “Making a Difference” award in 1990. She was a disaster relief worker after hurricane Andrew in Homestead, Florida. Mrs. Jeffries joined Culpeper Family Practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) in 2000.  She enjoys working with all age groups with a special interest in preventive health, communicable disease, and chronic disease management. She has served on numerous boards for health advocacy as well as being a Free Clinic volunteer since 1994.  She married her husband Tom in 1977. They have two grown children and one grandson. She enjoys being with family and friends, traveling, gardening, rock hunting, singing and playing her upright bass.
