Bernadette Focazio was born on Long Island in New York. Prior to receiving her Nurse Practitioner license, she was a Staff Nurse on a hematology-oncology unit in a large teaching hospital. In 1997 she started working as a Nurse Practitioner for a Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant unit and remained there until moving to Culpeper in 2005. In 2009 she joined the Culpeper Free Clinic, providing Primary Care to the uninsured. She joined Culpeper Family Practice in 2010. She enjoys gardening and spending time with her husband and two children.
