Ashton was born in Washington, D.C. and has spent the
majority of her life in Culpeper. She is
a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church where she serves as acolyte director
and youth advisor. Her past experience
in psychiatric and mental health nursing includes inpatient work at Pinebrook
Psychiatric Center and fourteen years with the local Community Services
Board. She has also served as adjunct
faculty at Germanna Community College.
